Job summary

Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) is seeking a Research Program Manager for its Colorado Springs field office to oversee complex orbital warfare programs. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, coordinate sponsor engagement, and ensure timely delivery of MS&A in alignment with government requirements.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of space systems program management, strong communication, and the ability to navigate DoD contracting processes while sustaining close collaboration with USSF

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in a STEM-related discipline; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Five years of experience in command and control of space orbital warfare systems.
• Strong communication to convey technical material to nontechnical audiences.
• Experience managing multifaceted projects including scheduling and budgeting.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee medium-to-high risk DoD programs with complex requirements.
• Ensure resources and facilities are available for the program.
• Build multi-disciplinary teams across the organization.
• Plan, direct, and monitor program budgets and sponsor communications.
• Deliver project milestones and contract deliverables.
• Coordinate schedules and logistics for project meetings.
• Propose new ideas to sponsors and market technologies or follow-on opportunities.
• Interface with Space Systems Command and other agencies; support field operations.
