Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking an Orbital Analyst, Space Ground Systems, to support observatory operations, configure edge compute in Windows and Linux, and analyze satellite tracking data. You will help maintain the space object catalog and derived products to meet customer standards.

This role is a contributor on a 24/7 team, requiring an engineering background and the ability to work across shifting schedules while ensuring high reliability in space domain operations.

Qualifications

  • Engineering background in fields such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics or Physics.
  • Ability to quickly understand and navigate complex systems with little oversight.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
  • Clear communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze the global telescope network operations.
  • Identify knowledge articles and SOPs for network operations.
  • Triage issues, perform root-cause analysis, and coordinate next steps.
  • Create and analyze metrics used for debugging and monitoring.
  • Contribute to software solutions to increase efficiency.
  • Collaborate with end-users to translate needs into features while balancing engineering constraints.

ABOUT THE JOB

As an Orbital Analyst, Space Ground Systems, you will support key day-to-dayprocesses such as: technical support for observatory operations, configuring edgecompute capabilities within Windows and Linux and assisting with satellite tracking data analysis. This role is integral in maintaining the accuracy, completeness and integrity of
the Anduril space object catalog and the derived products meet established customerstandards.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Contribute to monitoring and analysis of global telescope network operations
  • Identify knowledge articles and SOPs for network operations.

  • Create and analyze metrics that are leveraged for debugging and monitoring.
  • Contribute to software solutions to increase efficiency.
  • Partner with end-users to turn needs into features while balancing userexperience with engineering constraints.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Engineering background from industry or school, ideally in areas/fields such asComputer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics.
  • Ability to quickly understand and navigate complex systems and detailedrequirements.
  • Capable of solving complex technical problems with little oversight.
  • Clear communication and organizational skills including documentation andtraining material.
  • Comfort working in a monitoring and operations environment that may includeshift, on-call and/or extended hours coverage.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with orbital mechanics and characteristics of satellite orbit regimes.
  • Familiarity with space domain awareness concepts, space object catalogs and/orconjunction/maneuver analysis.
  • Exposure to telescope, or other phenomenology, observation data.
  • At least 3+ years working with a variety of programming languages such as Java,Python, C++, Rust, Go, JavaScript, etc.
  • A desire to work on critical software in the space domain.
  • Be prepared to discuss shift availability for a 24/7 team.
US Salary Range

$132,000—$198,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril’s total compensation package.
