Job summary

University Health UH1 in Kansas City, Missouri, is seeking a Part-time Clinical Procedural Nurse RN PRN for the Oral Surgery service. This ambulatory role supports pre- and post-procedure care in a fast-paced clinic, coordinating with the surgical team and students under MO Nurse Practice Act guidelines.

The position requires MO RN licensure (or eligibility), BCLS, ACLS as needed, and radiology training if radiologic duties apply; BSN is preferred. Schedule is varied with 4 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Current state of Missouri license as a Registered Nurse or eligible for Missouri RN licensure.
• Current BCLS card.
• Current ACLS card as required by department.
• Radiology certification or training as required for radiologic functions.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care in an ambulatory environment for pre and post procedures.
• Performs assessments based on the patient’s procedure, diagnosis and care needs.
• Uses the nursing process to plan, perform, delegate and evaluate care delivery.
• Engages with interdisciplinary team, committees, program evaluations, research, education, and supervision of students.
• Works within Missouri Nurse Practice Act and organizational/ regulatory requirements.
