Frontline Dental Implant Specialists in Lakeland, FL is seeking an Oral Surgery Assistant per diem to support our Oral Maxillofacial Surgery Clinic. You will assist surgeons with routine and advanced procedures, prepare patient charts, and operate radiography equipment for diagnostic imaging.

The role requires an OMFS assistant certification and radiography certification, plus experience in dental assisting, strong organizational and communication skills, and strict adherence to infection

Qualifications

• Oral and maxillofacial surgery assistant certification is required.
• Radiography certification is required.
• Six or more months of dental assisting experience preferred.
• Knowledge of surgical equipment, instruments and materials.
• Strong communication, organization and safety awareness are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist oral maxillofacial surgeons with routine and advanced procedures.
• Prepare patient charts, treatment plans and dental records.
• Operate X-ray and 3D scanning equipment and develop radiographs.
• Sterilize instruments and ensure infection control procedures are followed.
• Assist surgeon with chairside procedures including anesthesia administration and cleanup.
• Prepare patients for surgery and monitor vitals during procedures.
• Provide patient education on oral health care and postoperative outcomes.
• Monitor and replenish stock of surgical supplies and medications.
