Job summary

DOCS Dental seeks a part-time oral surgeon to perform a wide range of dentoalveolar procedures at modern, fully digital clinics on Army and Air Force bases. You will join a supportive team and maintain clinical autonomy while serving military families and federal employees.

The role features flexible scheduling (includes 1-2 Saturdays per month), no on-call requirements, malpractice coverage, and a stable, exclusive patient population with strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• DDS or DMD from an accredited U.S. program.
• Residency in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery completed or eligible.
• Active, unrestricted state dental license required.
• CPR/BLS certification and DEA license if sedation/prescribing is used.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide scope of surgical procedures including extractions and alveoloplasty.
• Provide in-office sedation where credentialed and permitted by state law.
• Collaborate with dentists and assistants to ensure safe patient care.
• Document findings and treatment plans in digital charts.

Your Role as a Part-Time Oral Surgeon:

• Perform a wide scope of surgical procedures including extractions (routine and surgical), alveoloplasty, and other dentoalveolar surgeries
• Provide in-office sedation (as credentialed and permitted by state license per office)
• Collaborate with general dentists and dental assistants to ensure safe and efficient patient care
• Document clinical findings and treatment plans in digital patient charts
• Follow proper infection control protocols and safety procedures
• Maintain a high standard of care and professionalism in a fast-paced clinical setting

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

• DMD or DDS from an accredited U.S. dental program
• Completed Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery residency and board certification or eligibility
• Active, unrestricted state dental license
• CPR/BLS Certification
• DEA license (if performing sedation or prescribing medication)
• Ability to pass background screening, drug testing, and obtain Real ID for base access
