Job summary

Western Dental is seeking an experienced Oral Surgeon Assistant to support the Oral Surgeon in patient care and x-ray procedures in our California clinics. You will help maintain patient comfort, manage x-ray processes, and follow infection control practices to ensure a safe, welcoming experience.

Responsibilities include assisting the surgeon at the chair, preparing next steps, documenting treatment records, handling supplies, and maintaining strong communication with the dental team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• RDA certification in CA, AZ, NV.
• Current X-ray license.
• CPR and ACLS certificates required; OMSA or DAANCE preferred.
• Bilingual preferred (Spanish/ English).
• Travelling required.
• Open availability.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Oral Surgeon at the chair during patient treatment.
• Anticipate dentist’s needs and be prepared for next steps.
• Follow OSHA, Dental Board and Western Dental policies.
• Maintain patient treatment records.
• Take blood pressure.
• Give pre- and post-operative instructions.
• Provide oral hygiene instructions to patients.
• Stock supplies in oratories, restrooms, lab, etc.
• Inform Floor Supervisor when supplies need re-ordering.
• Inform Floor Supervisor of broken or malfunctioning equipment.
• Perform sterilizer duties when needed.
• Build rapport with patients and staff.
