Apolis is seeking an Oral Health Coordinator to promote oral health education across facilities, schools, and community settings. You will work with CNAs, school nurses, educators, and families to implement preventive dental care programs and improve health outcomes.

The role involves developing training materials, delivering workshops, coordinating events, and supporting grant proposals and program evaluation. This is a 12-month hybrid position based in Indianapolis, IN.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or certification in Dental Hygiene, Public Health, Education, or a related field.
  • Experience delivering health education or training programs, preferably in healthcare, schools, long-term care, or community settings.
  • Knowledge of oral hygiene, preventive dental care, common oral health conditions, and behavior-change strategies.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop engaging and accessible educational materials.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver oral health workshops and training programs for CNAs, school nurses, educators, and community partners.
  • Create educational resources including guides, checklists, pamphlets, posters, videos, and digital content.
  • Collaborate with skilled nursing facilities, schools, healthcare teams, and community organizations.
  • Promote the connection between oral health and overall health, particularly among children, seniors, and vulnerable populations.
  • Provide ongoing guidance and support to healthcare and education professionals.
  • Coordinate and participate in health fairs, community outreach events, school programs, and public health campaigns.
  • Support program planning, grant proposals, budgeting, data collection, and reporting.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness and recommend improvements.

About the Role

The Oral Health Coordinator will play a key role in promoting oral health education and awareness across skilled nursing facilities, schools, early learning centers, and community settings.
