Job summary

Colgate-Palmolive is seeking a Scientist to develop and implement new Oral Care formulas for North America, based in Piscataway, NJ. You will lead design experiments, scale-up from lab to pilot, and support plant trials while maintaining rigorous GMP/GLP documentation and cross‑functional collaboration.

You will collaborate with analytical, flavor, and micro teams to ensure high-quality samples and timely project delivery, adhering to SOPs and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a science field relevant to formulation development.
• 1–2 years of formulation development in consumer goods.
• Experience scaling formulations from lab to pilot/manufacturing scale.
• Understanding of active ingredients, emulsions, surfactants, rheology, liquid chemistry.
• Knowledge of cGMP/GMP and GLP.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement new oral care formulas for North America.
• Lead experimental designs to identify launch formulations and production processes.
• Produce lab and pilot batch formulations for stability testing and sampling.
• Support Pilot Plant batches by preparing batch sheets and material requests.
• Assist plant trials at various North America locations as needed.
• Manage multiple stability studies across lab, pilot and plant scales with cross-functional teams.
• Create and maintain all R&D documentation under GMP/GLP per FDA/ICH guidelines.
• Deliver presentations of technical data and project status.
