Job summary

CodeAnalytiqa Consultancy and Services is seeking a full-time OCI Engineer to design, secure, and manage resilient OCI environments for mission-critical workloads in the DC area. You will lead migrations of on-prem Oracle databases to OCI and implement automated IaC with Terraform and Ansible.

The role requires active Secret clearance with eligibility for Top Secret and experience with Exadata and Linux engineering to meet federal security standards.

Qualifications

• Active Secret Clearance with eligibility to obtain Top Secret clearance.
• 2+ years of hands-on OCI cloud engineering experience.
• Strong Oracle Database engineering, configuration, and administration.
• Experience with Oracle Exadata platforms.
• Experience migrating on-premises Oracle databases to OCI.
• Strong knowledge of RHEL or Oracle Linux.

Responsibilities

Job Title: Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Engineer

Position Type: Full-Time / Permanent

Security Clearance: Active Secret Clearance (Required); Must be eligible and immediately balance-vetted to obtain a Top Secret Clearance

Position Overview

We are seeking a full-time Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Engineer to support the modernization and resilience of mission-critical systems for the Client. In this role, you will design, secure, and manage high-availability cloud environments that back protective operations and investigative mandates. You will lead the migration of complex, legacy on-premises Oracle Databases to OCI, deploying hardened, automated configurations that meet strict federal law enforcement and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) enterprise security criteria.

Core Responsibilities

• Federal Cloud Architecture: Design, implement, and maintain secure OCI cloud environments, landing zones, and networking structures built to protect highly sensitive law enforcement data.
• Database Migration & Administration: Orchestrate the secure, zero-downtime migration of legacy on-premises Oracle Databases to OCI infrastructure.
• Exadata Optimization: Administer and fine-tune Oracle Exadata systems to handle intensive database workloads, ensuring rapid query performance and constant availability.
• DevOps & IaC Automation: Write and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) playbooks using Terraform and Ansible to ensure repeatable, automated, and secure system provisioning.
• Enterprise Linux Engineering: Administer, patch, and harden Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Oracle Linux operating systems supporting critical infrastructure.
• Law Enforcement Security Compliance: Harden infrastructure against rigorous DHS and Federal information security policies, applying DISA STIGs, NIST SP 800-53 controls, and agency-specific security baselines.

Critical Qualifications & Experience

• Clearance: Active Secret Clearance with the mandatory ability to undergo a comprehensive background investigation to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.
• OCI Engineering: At least 2 years of recent, hands‑on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) cloud engineering experience.
• Oracle Database Expertise: Strong background in Oracle Database engineering, configuration, and administration.
• Exadata Performance: Technical proficiency working directly with Oracle Exadata platforms.
• Cloud Migrations: Proven experience moving on‑premises enterprise Oracle databases to OCI.
• Linux Systems: Strong operational knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or Oracle Linux environments.
