Job summary

Next Ventures is seeking an experienced Oracle Fusion PPM Functional Consultant to support a major Oracle Cloud deployment across North America. The role covers UAT through go-live and post-go-live stabilisation, acting as the functional lead for PPM while partnering with Finance, Operations, and the implementation partner.

The successful candidate will have 5+ years of hands-on Fusion PPM experience, deep PPM expertise, and strong skills in project costing, billing, revenue recognition,

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on Oracle Fusion functional experience.
• At least two full Oracle implementation lifecycles, from design through post-go-live support.
• Deep Oracle Fusion PPM expertise.
• Strong experience across Project Costing, Billing, Revenue Recognition, Budgets and Forecasts, and Capitalisation.
• Understanding of project accounting concepts: cost capture, revenue recognition, unbilled revenue, and WIP.
• Experience in project-based, services, engineering or similar project-driven organisations.
• Proven troubleshooting: data interrogation, tracing entries to source, and diagnosing issues.
• OTBI and BI Publisher practical experience.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Comfort working with business users in a hands-on support environment.
• Experience across multi-entity, multi-currency, and multi-GAAP environments is advantageous.
• English language skills required; French advantageous.
• Must be based in North America and work US/Canada business hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform root cause analysis and distinguish between user error, data issues, and system defects.
• Escalate technical issues to Oracle team or partners as needed.
• Support UAT, regressions, patches, and go-live activities.
• Ensure integrity between PPM and accounting, including costs, postings, and WIP.
• Build/adjust OTBI and BI Publisher reports as needed.
• Upskill key users and contribute to training content and knowledge base.
• Document recurring issues and resolutions for long-term retention.

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Oracle Fusion PPM Functional Consultant to provide hands-on functional support throughout a major Oracle Cloud deployment across North America.

The role will support users from UAT through go-live and post-go-live stabilisation, acting as the key functional point of contact for Oracle PPM while working closely with Finance, Operations, key users, the central programme team, and the implementation partner.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary functional point of contact for Oracle Fusion PPM across the North American business.
• Provide hands-on support across project and task structures, project setup, templates, and project costing.
• Support Project Contracts, billing, revenue recognition, budgets, and forecasting.
• Support project capitalisation, project enquiry and analysis.
• Support contract creation, follow-up, amendments, and intercompany contract processes.
• Work closely with business users and key users to understand, diagnose, and resolve functional issues.
• Perform root cause analysis and distinguish between user error, training gaps, master/transactional data issues, process gaps, and genuine system defects.
• Resolve issues directly where appropriate and qualify/escalate technical issues to the central Oracle team, implementation partner, or Oracle Support.
• Support UAT, regression testing, new releases, patches, and subsequent deployment activities.
• Support go-live, cutover, and post-go-live stabilisation.
• Ensure the integrity of the flow between PPM and the accounting layer, including project costs, revenue postings, unbilled/deferred balances, and WIP.
• Build and adjust OTBI and BI Publisher reports where required within the regional reporting scope.
• Coach and progressively upskill key users and contribute to training materials, QRGs, and knowledge-base content.
• Document recurring issues, workarounds, and resolution patterns to support long-term knowledge retention.
• Work collaboratively with the other functional consultants to resolve issues that cross functional boundaries.

• Comfortable working directly with business users and key users in a hands-on support environment.
• Experience working across multi-entity, multi-currency, and multi-GAAP environments is advantageous.
• English language skills required; French would be advantageous.
• Must be based in North America and able to work within US/Canada business hours.
