Job summary

Jobgether, on behalf of a partner company in the United States, seeks an Oracle Fusion Cloud Projects and Grants Functional Lead to provide senior functional leadership for Fusion Cloud Projects, Project Portfolio Management, and Grants.

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Oracle Fusion Cloud Projects and Grants Functional Lead based in United States.

This role provides senior functional leadership for Oracle Fusion Cloud Projects, Project Portfolio Management, and Grants solutions.

You will guide end-to-end implementations, translating complex business requirements into scalable and integrated cloud solutions.

The position works closely with business stakeholders, solution architects, developers, and technical teams throughout the delivery lifecycle.

You will help organizations improve processes, adopt industry best practices, and maximize the value of their Oracle Cloud investments.

The role combines hands-on functional expertise with architecture, solution governance, mentoring, and client leadership.

You will also contribute to continuous innovation by evaluating Oracle releases, emerging capabilities, and new technologies.

Up to 50% milestone travel may be required to support client engagements and key implementation activities.

Accountabilities

• Lead the functional design and end-to-end implementation of Oracle Fusion Cloud solutions spanning Projects, Project Portfolio Management, Grants, and related Financials modules such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable.
• Define and communicate overall solution architecture, data models, integrations, customizations, and functional approaches to development and technical teams.
• Provide subject matter expertise and functional leadership throughout the full project lifecycle, from planning and requirements through design, implementation, testing, go-live, and post-implementation support.
• Establish and promote development standards, technical guidelines, governance practices, and Oracle Fusion Cloud best practices.
• Work directly with business and technical stakeholders to gather and document requirements, lead fit-gap analysis and conference room pilots, configure solutions, coordinate testing, and support client user training.
• Lead process improvement initiatives and communicate recommendations that align client business processes with industry best practices and Oracle capabilities.
• Own functional scope by identifying potential gaps, assessing impacts, and proposing appropriate change requests.
• Design and oversee complex integrations between Oracle Fusion Cloud and third-party applications, ensuring reliable and scalable data flows.
• Guide the implementation of Oracle Fusion extensions and custom solutions required to address specific business requirements.
• Serve as the liaison between business, functional, and technical teams to ensure requirements, architecture, integrations, and implementation decisions remain aligned.
• Mentor developers, functional consultants, and other team members while fostering a collaborative and innovative delivery environment.
• Troubleshoot complex functional and technical issues and provide leadership in resolving implementation challenges.
• Stay current with Oracle Fusion Cloud releases, new capabilities, and industry trends, recommending opportunities for optimization and innovation.
• Contribute to internal innovation initiatives by evaluating new tools and technologies that can improve Oracle Cloud delivery capabilities.
• Lead multiple assignments effectively while coordinating with offshore functional and technical resources.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional Oracle experience, with proven expertise designing and implementing Oracle Fusion Cloud solutions.
• Demonstrated experience with Project Portfolio Management and Projects, including project cost allocation, cost collection, revenue recognition/recording, and P&L calculations.
• Strong understanding of Fund or Grant Accounting concepts, particularly within public-sector environments.
• Extensive experience with Oracle Cloud implementations, including full lifecycle participation in at least three Oracle Cloud implementation projects and hands-on functional configuration.
• Experience serving in a lead role on at least two Oracle Cloud Grants implementation projects is strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of core Oracle Financials and the ability to integrate Projects and Grants processes with financial functions.
• Experience gathering and documenting business requirements, leading fit-gap assessments and CRPs, performing functional configuration, coordinating testing, and delivering client training.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, mentoring, and leadership skills, with the ability to translate complex functional concepts for both business and technical audiences.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, particularly when addressing complex Oracle Cloud implementation issues.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities while effectively collaborating with distributed and offshore functional and technical teams.
• U.S. Public Sector, K-12, and Higher Education experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience with Oracle Cloud Grants Release 19 or later is preferred.
• Extensive Project Manufacturing experience is considered an advantage.
• Ability to travel up to 50% for key project milestones and client engagements.
