Job summary

SMX is seeking accomplished Technical Associates for developing, customizing, and maintaining Oracle E-Business Suite applications. Tasks include writing PL/SQL scripts, configuring modules, and troubleshooting issues.

The role focuses on supporting business processes, ensuring system functionality meets client requirements, collaborating with functional teams, and performing data migration and integrations using SQL/PLSQL, Oracle Forms/Reports, and OAF.

Qualifications

  • Active clearance or public trust based on sponsor.
  • Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL with Oracle EBS development tools.
  • Experience in PL/SQL, Oracle Forms, Reports, and OAF.
  • Familiarity with EBS modules and architecture.
  • Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience or substitution as described.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop custom applications, reports, extensions, and workflows within Oracle EBS.
  • Build and maintain interfaces for data migration and integration using tools like XML Publisher or APIs.
  • Provide day-to-day support, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis for Oracle EBS.
  • Perform system analysis, conduct upgrades, and ensure performance and data integrity.
  • Perform functional testing and debugging of RICE components.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation for development processes and solutions.

Job description

Tasks will include writing PL/SQL scripts, configuring modules, and troubleshooting issues. Key responsibilities include supporting business processes, ensuring system functionality meets client requirements, collaborating with functional teams, and performing tasks related to data migration and integrations. The role requires technical skills like SQL and PL/SQL, along with a solid understanding of Oracle EBS modules and business requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Development and customization: Design and develop custom applications, reports, extensions, and workflows within Oracle EBS to meet business needs.

  • Integration: Build and maintain interfaces for data migration and integration with other systems, often using tools like XML Publisher or APIs.

  • Technical support: Provide day-to-day support, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis for the Oracle EBS environment.

  • System administration: Perform system analysis, conduct upgrades, and ensure system performance, stability, and data integrity.

  • Testing: Perform functional testing and debugging of RICE (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions) components.

  • Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation for all development processes and solutions.

Required Skills and Experience
  • Active clearance or public trust based on sponsor.

  • Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL, AME along with experience in Oracle EBS development tools and a strong understanding of the EBS application architecture.

  • Development and customization: Design, develop, and maintain custom solutions using tools like PL/SQL, Oracle Forms, Reports, and Oracle Application Framework (OAF).

  • Experience in Projects, Purchasing, Contract LifeCyle Management (CLM) and budgeting

  • Familiarity with Oracle 12.2.x application schema and able to create queries

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.

  • Experience with requirements gathering, testing, and solution design.

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience. Directly related postgraduate study may be substituted for experience at the rate of three credit hours for three months of experience up to 36 credit hours.

  • Experience in creating technical documentation.

  • Oracle APEX experience (or similar report writer).

Desired Skills and Experience
  • Oracle certifications, such as OCP for EBS R12 preferred.

  • Experience with data integrity, system optimization, and working within a Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

The proposed salary for this position is:

$73,000—$122,000 USD
