Oracle EBS R12 Automation Developer

Engagement Length: 1-2 years
Environment: On-Prem Oracle EBS R12.0.6 (mandatory)
Location: Remote candidates outside of Austin are welcome. Periodic on-site collaboration in Austin may be required (potentially week-long stints); travel is expensable.

We are seeking an experiencedOracle E-Business Suite (EBS) R12 developer/consultantwith strong experience automating business processes across Oracle EBS modules. The organization operates in a highly customized Oracle EBS environment and is looking to improve operator efficiency by automating processes that currently require significant manual interaction with Oracle Forms. The goal is to create more streamlined, automated workflows that move transactions and information through the appropriate Oracle EBS modules with minimal manual intervention.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implementautomation solutions within Oracle EBS R12.
• Automate end-to-end business processes that currently require manual Oracle Forms interaction.
• Develop solutions that move transactions and data through multiple EBS modules with minimal user intervention.
• Work across Oracle EBS modules including:
  • Order Management
  • Web/OAF
  • Shipping
  • Inventory
  • Other customized EBS modules
• Develop and maintain integrations usingOracle EBS APIs, standard interfaces, and custom interfaces.
• Leverage PL/SQL, Oracle database technologies, APIs, and other available EBS tools to automate business processes.
• Analyze existing customized EBS functionality and determine opportunities for automation and process improvement.
• Work with stakeholders to understand operational pain points and translate them into technical automation solutions.
• Support automation involving data moving from one process/work center to another.
• Integrate system and machine-generated information into Oracle EBS workflows where applicable.
• Develop enhancements to existing EBS functionality and interfaces.
• Troubleshoot automation and integration issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Work closely with experienced Oracle EBS developers to understand existing customizations and ensure new solutions work within the current environment.
• Document technical solutions, interfaces, automation workflows, and system enhancements.
• Provide support and knowledge transfer to the existing Oracle EBS development team.

Required Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience withOracle E-Business Suite R12.
• Strong Oracle EBS development experience, particularly in ahighly customized environment.
• Demonstrated experience automating business processes within Oracle EBS.
• Strong experience withPL/SQL.
• Experience working with Oracle EBSAPIs, interfaces, and standard integration methods.
• Strong understanding of multiple Oracle EBS modules, particularly:
  • Order Management
  • Shipping
  • Inventory
  • Web/OAF
• Experience developing customizations, enhancements, interfaces, and automation within Oracle EBS.
• Ability to understand complex existing customizations and work effectively within an established EBS environment.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to translate business and operational requirements into technical solutions.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is asenior Oracle EBS R12 developer/technical consultantwho has spent significant time inside complex, customized EBS environments and knows how to automate processes across multiple modules. This person should be comfortable digging into existing custom code, tables, forms, APIs, and interfaces to understand how the system works and then determine how processes can be automated and improved.
