Job summary

Concept Plus in Fairfax, VA seeks an Oracle Developer to sustain CEMS database support and APIs/Interfaces. The role develops and maintains CEMS Web Services APIs for existing and future interfaces.

The ideal candidate will design, optimize PL/SQL, analyze performance bottlenecks, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable database solutions and reliable data processing.

Qualifications

• US Citizen with active Secret Clearance.
• 2+ years of experience with Oracle PL/SQL.
• Experience with Oracle database replication.
• Knowledge of AWS and/or OCI related technologies and utilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and queries.
• Analyze database code to identify performance bottlenecks and implement tuning.
• Collaborate with application developers and data teams to translate requirements into database solutions.
• Develop and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts for reporting and data processing.
• Ensure secure, reliable, and reusable database code and performance.
• Assist with deployments, migrations, and environment transitions.
• Create documentation for database structures and development standards.
• Participate in code reviews and provide guidance on PL/SQL and DB development.
• Monitor performance and optimize indexes and storage strategies.

Concept Plus is seeking a Oracle Developer to perform sustainment tasks for CEMS database support and APIs/Interfaces. Develops and maintains CEMS Web Services APIs for existing and future CEMS interface.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and optimize PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and queries to support application features and business workflows.
• Analyze existing database code and processes to identify performance bottlenecks and implement tuning improvements.
• Collaborate with application developers, business analysts, and data teams to understand requirements and translate them into efficient database solutions.
• Develop and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database scripts for reporting, integration, and data processing needs.
• Ensure database code follows best practices for security, reliability, reusability, and performance.
• Work with relational database structures, implementing changes, updates, and schema modifications as required.
• Perform troubleshooting, debugging, and root cause analysis on PL/SQL components and database-related issues.
• Support deployment activities by preparing scripts, validating execution results, and ensuring smooth transitions between environments.
• Create and maintain documentation for database structures, stored procedures, data flows, and development standards.
• Participate in code reviews and provide technical guidance on PL/SQL and database development standards.
• Assist with data migration, ETL processes, and integration tasks between internal and external systems.
• Monitor database performance and collaborate with DBAs to optimize queries, indexes, and storage strategies.

Required Qualifications

• US Citizen with active Secret Clearance
• BA/BS preferrable, can be replaced by additional experience
• 2+ years of experience with Oracle PL/SQL
• Experience with Oracle database replication
• Knowledge of AWS and/or OCI related technologies and utilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
• Have AWS Cloud One or AWS Gov Cloud experience.
