Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services Limited in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking an experienced Oracle DBA to manage core database administration activities end-to-end, including installation, upgrades, patching, backup and recovery, and performance tuning. The role requires collaboration with SAP, IFS, and Simplement Data Liberator teams, a broad understanding of servers, storage, networking and OS, and the ability to lead technical efforts.

Salary range $100,000-$120,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Oracle Database Administrator including installation, upgrades, patching, and production support.
• Strong knowledge of RMAN backup/recovery and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with infrastructure basics (servers, storage, networking, OS) and ability to lead technically.
• Experience coordinating with SAP, IFS, and Simplement Data Liberator environments.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, patch, and clone Oracle databases.
• Troubleshoot performance issues and optimize response times.
• Oversee database administration, upgrades, backup/recovery strategies, and storage management.
• Establish and manage Disaster Recovery solutions.
• Manage database users, roles, and privileges to protect data.
• Coordinate with application teams supporting SAP, IFS, Simplement Data Liberator.

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

• * Strong hands-on experience as an Oracle Database Administrator, with the ability to independently manage all core database administration activities, including installation, upgrades, patching, performance tuning, backup and recovery, troubleshooting, etc.
• *Broad understanding of infrastructure technologies, including servers, storage, networking, and operating systems, with the ability to function as a technical lead when required.
• *Experience with at least one of the following enterprise applications or platforms and willing to learn remaining platforms.
• oIFS ERP

• *Ability to effectively coordinate and collaborate with application teams supporting SAP, IFS, and Simplement Data Liberator.

Salary Range: $100,000-$120,000 a year
