A growing software consultancy firm in United States seeks an experienced Oracle DBA with a strong background in database management and optimization. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of DBA experience and at least 2 years specifically with Amazon Redshift. Responsibilities include ensuring data integrity, performance tuning, and managing backup processes. • Contract
• Overall DBA experience (on Oracle or SQL Server) of over 10+ years.
• 2+ years of experience on Amazon Redshift (MUST)
• Database design and optimization skills with a strong understanding for performance analysis, tuning, maintenance to ensure continuous data integrity & performance
• Experience with distribution and sort keys and column encodings
• Experience spinning up and resizing clusters
• Issue analysis and resolution
• Knows Backup and recovery process
• Storage capacity planning and analysis
• Working knowledge of unix / linux
• Hands on experience with SQL statements, query analysis for performance improvements
