Job summary

Ethereum Technologies is seeking a seasoned Oracle Database Administrator to support application teams, install and upgrade DBMS, patch SQL, and develop robust database programs to handle growing data and user traffic.

You will design databases, monitor performance, ensure security, and implement DR strategies while maintaining high availability across platforms. Strong scripting and reporting skills are essential for internal and external data needs.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience installing, upgrading, patching Oracle components (RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, OEM, ASM, Partitioning) across multiple platforms.
• Experience with replication setup, troubleshooting and failovers - GoldenGate or HVR.
• Ensure production uptime with backup, recovery, refresh, performance tuning, and security measures.
• Provide data cleansing, verify data integrity, and implement access controls.
• Develop schema, deployment and ongoing maintenance of databases.
• Knowledge of disaster recovery setup and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and support to Application team.
• Install, tune, implement and upgrade DBMS installations.
• Write and deploy SQL patches.
• Write new database programs and maintain existing ones to handle traffic and data storage.
• Help design new databases based on company needs, data storage needs, and user load.
• Continuously monitor databases and related systems for high functionality.
• Write support scripts for deploying, operating, scaling storage, and fixing problems.
• Troubleshoot platform-specific performance and debugging of database scripts.
• Review daily, weekly, and monthly database reports to spot problems and ensure peak operation.
• Process work accurately and in a timely manner
• Pay attention to detail and urgency
• Proactively recommend system improvements
• Collate, prepare, and present statistical information for internal and external use
