Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Oracle Developer to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Oracle Developer you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and implementing Oracle-based solutions to meet our business needs. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to analyze requirements, develop technical specifications, and deliver high‑quality solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain Oracle database applications, including stored procedures, triggers, functions, and packages.
- Perform data modeling, schema design, and database optimization to ensure optimal performance and scalability.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Develop and maintain data integration processes between Oracle and other systems.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues.
- Conduct code reviews, performance tuning, and optimization to ensure code quality and efficiency.
- Stay up to date with the latest Oracle technologies and practices and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance and support as needed.
- Operate with limited supervision.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience as an Oracle developer with a proven track record of designing and implementing complex database solutions.
- Proficiency in Oracle PL/SQL programming with experience in Oracle database performance tuning and optimization.
- Experience with Oracle database administration tasks such as backup and recovery, user management, and security.
- Strong understanding and advocacy of good database design principles, data modeling techniques, and relational database concepts.
- Experience working in an Agile environment and familiarity with Agile methodologies.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
- Experience with Git and continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines.
Mandatory Experience
- Total years of experience in PL/SQL + performance tuning (Preferred: 7+ years).
- Oracle version used in the most recent project (Oracle 19c preferred or higher).
- Experience handling large datasets/tables (50 GB+), including knowledge of table size and information stored.
- Experience with table partitioning strategies—range, list, and hash—and the rationale behind their use.
- Hands‑on performance tuning experience, including Oracle Optimizer, EXPLAIN plans, and AWR/ASH.
- Experience with PL/SQL bulk operations (BULK COLLECT, FORALL) on large datasets.
- Advanced SQL using window functions (ROW_NUMBER, RANK, DENSE_RANK, LAG, LEAD).
Nice to Have
- Oracle certification.
- Knowledge of other database technologies (e.g., MongoDB, SQL Server).
- Experience using Tableau with Oracle.
- Experience with Starburst or other data virtualization technology.
- Python development experience.
- Experience using MagicDraw.

Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, performance, and internal equity. The range displayed on this posting reflects the minimum and maximum salary target for the position across all U.S. locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location, job level, and additional factors including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Depending on the position offered, other forms of compensation such as an annual performance‑based bonus, sales incentive pay, and other bonus or variable compensation may be provided.
