Optomi, in partnership with a large global company best known for its paints, coatings, and related products, is seeking an Oracle Database Developer for their Cleveland, OH location. Candidates must have strong hands-on PL/SQL development experience with Oracle 19c, UNIX/Linux, and system-to-system integrations.

This Senior PL/SQL Developer will join a Cleveland-based team onsite five days a week in a structured Agile sprint environment, own database tasks end-to-end, and drive performance,

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Oracle 19c or current Oracle environments.
• Proficient with PL/SQL packages, procedures, and functions.
• Experience in UNIX/Linux environments and data integration/ETL.
• US citizen or Green Card holder due to government/military-related work.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Oracle database objects (tables, views, procedures, functions, packages).
• Create and optimize SQL/PL/SQL for data retrieval and processing.
• Support ETL processes and data quality.
• Develop Unix/Linux shell scripts for automation.
• Troubleshoot performance and integration issues.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, and stakeholders in an Agile sprint.

Candidates must have strong hands-on PL/SQL development experience with a thorough understanding of Oracle database development, including packages, procedures, functions, and database changes. This Senior PL/SQL Developer will have experience working with UNIX/Linux, system-to-system integrations, data translations, and ETL processes, and will be comfortable working independently with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will have approximately 6-10 years of relevant experience and exposure to Oracle 19c or other current Oracle environments. This developer will join a Cleveland, OH-based team, working onsite five days per week within a structured Agile sprint environment to support ongoing database development, system integrations, and enhancement.

• Perform query and application performance tuning.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver data solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, deployments, and production support activities.
• Maintain technical documentation and adhere to development standards.
• Support ongoing enhancements and maintenance of existing database applications and processes.
