Job summary

D2Sol Inc. in Morrisville, NC is seeking a full-time Oracle Database Administrator to own the Oracle database layer across development, test, and production. You will ensure performance, security, and high availability for government-oriented platforms in a hands-on, on-site role.

You will collaborate with architects, developers, and client teams, manage backup/recovery with RMAN, implement Data Guard and RAC where applicable, and participate in CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on Oracle DBA experience supporting production systems.
• Strong expertise in Oracle 19c architecture, RMAN, Data Guard, and performance tuning.
• Advanced SQL and PL/SQL skills.
• Scripting experience in Bash, Python, or PowerShell for automation.
• Solid Linux administration skills (RHEL or Oracle Linux).
• Experience with database security, auditing, and patch management.
• Eligibility to work in the United States and to pass a background check required for government client work.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, upgrade, and patch Oracle Database 19c and later, on-premises and in AWS (RDS for Oracle and EC2).
• Monitor and tune database and SQL performance using AWR, ASH, ADDM, execution plans, and Oracle Enterprise Manager.
• Design, run, and regularly test backup and recovery using RMAN, with documented RPO and RTO targets.
• Implement and maintain high availability and disaster recovery with Data Guard and, where used, RAC.
• Manage schema changes and data migrations through automated, version-controlled pipelines (for example Liquibase) integrated with CI/CD.
• Enforce database security: users, roles, privileges, auditing, encryption (TDE), and patching to meet government compliance standards such as NIST 800-53.
• Support application development teams with schema design, batch job tuning, and release deployments.
• Plan capacity and storage, and track growth trends across environments.
• Respond to database incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and take part in an after-hours on-call rotation.
• Write and maintain runbooks, standards, and operational documentation.
• Work with developers, DevOps engineers, and client stakeholders to plan maintenance windows and releases.

Oracle Database Administrator (DBA)

D2Sol is hiring a full-time Oracle DBA to keep mission-critical government databases fast, secure, and available. You will work from our Morrisville, NC office alongside the architects and developers who build and run these platforms.

D2Sol Inc. is an IT services company delivering cloud, DevOps, and application solutions to public-sector clients. We build and support large-scale eligibility and case-management platforms for government health and human services agencies.

In this role you will own the Oracle database layer behind these systems: performance, backup and recovery, security, and automated change delivery across development, test, and production environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) in Database Administration.
• AWS experience: RDS for Oracle, EC2, S3, CloudWatch; AWS certification a plus.
• Experience supporting Cúram SPM or other large eligibility and case-management systems.
• Experience with Liquibase, Flyway, or similar database change-management tools in CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Background in state or federal health and human services programs (Medicaid, SNAP, TANF).
• Familiarity with GoldenGate, Data Pump, or other replication and migration tools.
• Experience with containerized workloads (ECS, Fargate, or Kubernetes).

Work environment

This is a full-time, on-site role at our Morrisville, NC office in the Research Triangle area. Standard hours are Monday to Friday, with scheduled after-hours maintenance windows and an on-call rotation.
