Job summary

Azusa Solutions LLC is seeking an Oracle Data Steward / Oracle Database Developer with a strong background in PL/SQL, data governance, and Oracle 19c. The role combines data stewardship with Oracle development, including migration, tuning, and integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, or related field (or equivalent).
• 5+ years of Oracle Database development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development.
• Experience developing stored procedures, functions, packages, triggers, views, and materialized views.
• Experience with Oracle Database 19c
• Experience planning and executing data migration projects.
• Strong understanding of ETL, data mapping, and data validation.
• Experience with SQL performance tuning and query optimization.
• Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and data stewardship principles.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, and Git
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Data Steward maintaining quality, integrity, consistency, and security of enterprise data.
• Implement and support data governance policies, standards, and best practices.
• Monitor and resolve data quality issues through profiling, validation, cleansing, and reconciliation.
• Collaborate with business units to define data definitions, metadata, and data lineage.
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements related to data management.
• Identify opportunities to improve data quality and usability across systems.
• Define data ownership and stewardship responsibilities with business users and technical teams.
• Develop, test, and maintain Oracle database applications and solutions.
• Create, optimize, and maintain SQL queries for reporting and analytics.
• Participate in code reviews and manage changes via version control and processes.
• Troubleshoot database issues to ensure reliability and performance.
• Plan, develop, and execute data migration strategies including ETL/ELT activities.
• Develop PL/SQL scripts to automate data conversion and migration.
• Validate migrated data for completeness and referential integrity.
• Coordinate migration schedules with business users.
• Troubleshoot data migration issues minimizing business disruption.
