Job summary

Tessera Labs seeks an on-site Senior Oracle Data Migration Architect to own architecture and end-to-end execution of multi-release data conversion from PeopleSoft to Oracle Fusion Cloud for a major US client. You will partner with offshore consultants, AI agents, and the client’s finance team to ensure accurate mappings and reconciliations.

This is a senior, hands-on role focused on data, mappings, load files (FBDI/HDL), and cutover strategies, with collaboration across the client and systems

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Oracle ERP with 3+ end-to-end Oracle Fusion Cloud data migrations.
• Strong functional understanding of Oracle Fusion Financials (GL, AP, AR, FA) and knowledge of Procuremment/Projects (PPM).
• Hands-on experience with PeopleSoft Financials data structures as a conversion source.

Responsibilities

• Own the conversion blueprint across releases, including objects in scope and load sequence.
• Lead source-to-target mapping from PeopleSoft and other sources to Oracle Fusion, incl. COA crosswalks and EDMCS hierarchies.

Oracle Data Migration Architect, Oracle Fusion Cloud and PeopleSoft

Working alongside Tessera Labs' Mosaic AI Agents

Location: US East Coast

Remote: Yes

Engagement type: Full-time employee or fixed-term contract (initial 3 to 6 months), full-time capacity, with possibility of extension

Start date: Immediate (November)

Engagement model: Senior on-site role. Leads the Oracle data conversion for a large US financial services client moving from PeopleSoft and other legacy finance systems to Oracle Fusion Cloud. Works with Tessera Labs' Forward Deployed Engineers, offshore Oracle data conversion consultants and Mosaic AI agents, and is the primary Oracle voice with the client's finance team and its systems integrator.

Role Summary

We are seeking a hands-on Oracle Data Migration Architect to own the architecture and end-to-end execution of a multi-release finance data conversion from PeopleSoft and other legacy systems into Oracle Fusion Cloud. This person is the functional and data authority for the conversion: they speak the language of Oracle Fusion Financials, Procurement and Projects, and they understand PeopleSoft source data well enough to explain what every legacy value becomes in Fusion.

This is not a configuration role. Oracle configuration is owned by the client's systems integrator. This role owns the data: mapping, business rules, FBDI load files, mock conversion cycles and reconciliation, with Tessera's platform and AI agents doing the extraction, transformation and loading at scale.

Key Responsibilities

1. Conversion Architecture and Mapping (30%)

• Own the conversion blueprint across releases: objects in scope, dependencies, load sequence and mock cycle plan, aligned to the client's entry and exit criteria.
• Lead source-to-target mapping from PeopleSoft and other sources (for example Coda, Advantage, Basware, Clarity, Workday) to Oracle Fusion, including chart of accounts crosswalks and EDMCS hierarchies.
• Define business rules, value mappings and data quality rules, and review the mappings and rules drafted by Mosaic AI agents before they are used.
• Decide cutover treatment for open items and in-flight transactions, and the approach for interim-state and reverse mapping where needed.

2. FBDI Loads and Reconciliation (30%)

• Own FBDI and HDL template usage per object, and work with the systems integrator on load sequencing, environments and load error resolution.
• Run mock conversion cycles end to end and diagnose load failures in Oracle Fusion terms.
• Set reconciliation controls (counts, balances, aging, subledger to GL) and drive reconciliation to the client's exit criteria, including 100% reconciliation for Fixed Assets and Projects.
• Secure business validation and sign-off for each release.

3. Client and Partner Leadership (25%)

• Act as the senior Oracle point of contact on site with the client's finance SMEs, data conversion lead and systems integrator.
• Lead mapping reviews, exception decisions and sign-off sessions, and explain differences in accounting language.
• Flag scope, risk and readiness issues early, including source system access, environment readiness and SME availability.

4. Team and AI Agent Oversight (15%)

• Guide offshore Oracle data conversion consultants and Forward Deployed Engineers on functional data questions.
• Act as the final quality gate for AI-generated mappings, transformations and load files before they reach the client.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years in Oracle ERP, with at least 3 end-to-end Oracle Fusion Cloud data conversions or migrations.
• Strong functional understanding of Oracle Fusion Financials (GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets) and working knowledge of Procurement and Projects (PPM).
• Hands-on experience with PeopleSoft Financials data structures as a conversion source.
• Deep experience with FBDI (and HDL where relevant), load error resolution and mock conversion cycles.
• Proven financial reconciliation experience, including subledger to GL and balance reconciliation with finance users.
• Experience working alongside a systems integrator on a large Oracle Cloud program.
• Strong SQL for data analysis and validation.
• Excellent communication with finance stakeholders and executives.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Oracle Revenue Management and Billing (ORMB) or EDMCS.
• Financial services or asset management industry experience.
• Experience with Oracle Fusion Time and Labor or contingent worker data.
• Experience working with AI, RPA or automated data conversion tooling.
• Oracle Cloud certification in Financials or Implementation.
