Job description

Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of relevant experience required. Experienced IT professional leading large projects and contributing to critical functions.


Oracle and SQL Server Database Administrator Responsibilities:
  1. Assume the role of an independent contributor as an IT professional responsible for design of databases for financial applications.
  2. Provide 24/7 Production Environment Support and manage High Availability environments using Real Application Cluster (RAC), Failovers, Data Guard, RMAN, and Cloning technologies using data domain.
  3. Implement MS SQL Server Database, Oracle Database, Oracle Enterprise Manager, Oracle OID/LDAP, Apache Tomcat, Oracle Application Express (APEX), and Oracle Restful Data Services (ORDS).
  4. Administer Oracle Exadata.
  5. Manage Oracle Data Guard and storage replication.
  6. Utilize shell scripting and automate day-to-day activities.
  7. Handle database user provisioning/de-provisioning.
  8. Conduct database performance tuning and patching.
  9. Contribute to projects with some guidance, work independently and in a team, and seek advice and assistance when needed.
  10. Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is a plus.
  11. Exhibit excellent communication (oral & written) and collaboration skills.
Oracle and SQL Server Database Administrator Requirements:
  1. Master's/Bachelor's degree in computer science.
  2. Familiarity with Oracle/SQL Server database design, coding, and documentation.
  3. Knowledge of Oracle Exadata administration, Oracle Application Express, Oracle Enterprise Manager, and Oracle Data Guard.
  4. Knowledge of database backup/recovery procedures, performance tuning, and SQL.
  5. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
