Able to independently scrub at least 5 specialties of General, Vascular, Ophthalmology, ENT, Plastics, GYN, Orthopedics, Neuro, Urology outpatient or inpatient surgery procedures. Utilizes nursing forms according to hospital/unit policy and guidelines within scope of practice. Assures the privacy, dignity and confidentiality of all patients/significant others. Functions with an awareness and application of safety issues as identified within the Medical Center. Performs efficiently in emergency situations following established policy and procedure under the direction of the RN. Demonstrates knowledge and practice of strict aseptic technique according to the Association of Operating Room Nurses (AORN) Maintains all unit specific and educational requirements.
