Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital is seeking an Operating Room Endo Technician to support the Endoscopy Team in providing high-quality care for surgical and endoscopy procedures.
The role requires aseptic technique, sterilization knowledge, and careful preparation and setup of instruments. You will work under supervision with strong emphasis on accuracy and teamwork, aligning with the hospital's mission and Watson Model of Care.
The Operating Room Endo Technician will report to the Director of Perioperative Services and work under the supervision of Operating Room Supervisor. He/she will assists the Endoscopy Team in providing high quality health care to the patients require surgical and procedural intervention. He/she will apply knowledge of aseptic technique, principles of sterilization and understanding of the purpose and use of endoscopy equipment and instruments. This position requires close concentration and high degree of accuracy and organization to prepare, set up and assists on various surgical and endoscopy procedures. Operating Room Endoscopy Technician is responsible as an individual and as part of the team to perform to the highest of standards in order to provide the best possible results in the perioperative patient care. This position requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee shall support Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital's strategic plan and the goals and direction of the quality and performance improvement process activities.
High School Diploma required
BLS certification required
Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred.
Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
Minimum of 3 years of experience in an acute care "OR" hospital setting.
Knowledge of current infection control practices, instruments and sterilization procedures.
