Job summary

Mercy is seeking staff to assist in individualized patient care under perioperative leadership, performing clinical procedures and essential support tasks vital to patient well-being.

The role requires a high school diploma, possible hospital experience, and BLS training or attainment within 90 days of hire; CNA may be needed per location. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds and sustained mobility throughout shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One-year clinical experience within a hospital may be required per location of employment. One year OR experience preferred.
• BLS required or may obtain within 90 days of hire.
• CNA may be required per location of employment.
• Minimum physical requirements: lift 50 pounds, prolonged standing/walking, reach/bend/kneel/twist/squat.

Responsibilities

• Assist in individualized patient care under perioperative leadership.
• Perform designated clinical procedures and non-clinical tasks essential to patient care.
• Follow safety, infection prevention, and patient rights/regulations.
• Utilize unit technology for daily tasks and communication (pagers, Rover).
• Participate in Quality Improvement activities to ensure care quality.
