Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis County, part of BJC Healthcare, is seeking a patient transport team member for the Surgical Services department.

Responsibilities include transporting patients, assisting with room turnover, and supporting lab runs during pre, intra, and post-operative phases. The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with weekends every 6 weeks, hours 6:30am–5:00pm, and a benefits package under BJC Total Rewards designed to support health, retirement and work-life

Qualifications

Overview

Missouri Baptist Medical Center, an acute care hospital in St. Louis County, offers a full continuum of medical and surgical services, including heart care, cancer, women and infants, breast health, gastrointestinal, orthopedic, stroke, therapy, wound and pain management services. Role Purpose

Function as a team member in the operating room to support medical and nursing staff during the pre, intra, and post-operative phase, including room turnover, clean and stock supplies and equipment and patient transport.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients timely, safely and with proper documents.
• Assists with room turnover. Has necessary equipment gathered, assists with gathering and removing soiled trash, and linen, biohazardous waste.
• Assists with positioning and prepping of patient. Obtains blood and blood products, additional supplies, equipment, instruments as needed during procedure.
• Performs housekeeping duties to assigned areas.
