Job summary

Saint Luke's in the United States (Missouri) is seeking a Surgical Services Support role to plan daily activities, organize workloads, and ensure efficient downtime usage for surgical services. The position involves stocking routine supplies, assembling case carts with sterile instruments, and preparing the OR according to surgeon preferences.

Responsibilities include transporting used instruments to sterilization, cleaning rooms, and maintaining equipment storage areas.

• Prepare surgical rooms for the next surgical case in accordance with the surgeon preference card.
• Transport sterile surgical instruments from the sterile processing department to the OR instrument storage room and OR suites as needed, utilizing the instruments scanning/tracking technology.
• Checks emergency cart for correct supplies and instruments in accordance with the surgeon call schedule and department policy.

• Notify nursing staff of any broken or damaged equipment.
• Follows and understands instructions, seeks clarification of duties when needed.
