Job summary

Qualifications

• For newly licensed nurses a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is required.
• Experience: 2 years OR experience required.
• Other: Membership in professional organizations is recommended and certification in a specialty area is encouraged.
• Able to work weekend rotation per the MNA contract

Responsibilities

• Work alongside board-certified and fellowship-trained surgeons, anesthesiologists, CRNAs, and Magnet-designated nurses in a fast-paced OR setting.
• Provide perioperative nursing care across complex surgical specialties.
• Participate in a collaborative, high-performing operating room team.

Join the internationally recognized surgical team at Brigham and Women's Hospital (BWH), a world-class academic medical center and major teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School.

Our Operating Room is a fast-paced, collaborative, and innovative environment supporting some of the most complex surgical care in the country. BWH has 47 operating rooms, including 1 Hybrid OR and 2 AMIGO rooms, with programs supporting:

• Burn and trauma surgery
• Comprehensive stroke care
• Cardiac surgery
• Lung and renal transplantation
• Robotic surgery
• Complex surgical specialties across a broad range of clinical areas

As an experienced Operating Room RN, you will work alongside board-certified and fellowship-trained surgeons, anesthesiologists, CRNAs, and Magnet®-designated nurses who are advancing surgical treatments and medical discoveries.
