Job summary

Methodist Richardson Medical Center seeks an experienced perioperative nurse to collaborate with surgeons and a multidisciplinary team, ensuring equipment and supplies are ready and safe prior to procedures. You will mentor staff and contribute to advancing perioperative nursing practice in line with AORN guidelines.

You must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program with Texas licensure; BSN strongly preferred and BLS certification required.

Working with surgeons to plan patient care needs through assuring equipment and supplies are available and functioning prior to the start of each procedure, while training and mentoring staff for the service. Requires demonstration of a commitment to professional improvement and the advancement of Perioperative nursing, through education, research, and clinical practice in support of AORN Guidelines.
