Job summary

HCA Florida University Hospital in Florida seeks an OR Service Line Lead RN to provide safe and effective nursing care during surgical procedures and invasive cases.

You will maintain expert knowledge of procedures and equipment, coordinate with surgeons, provide new hire orientation, pursue ongoing education, and help ensure patient safety and high-quality results. This role requires RN license, ACLS and BLS within 30 days, and at least 1 year of OR experience; benefits included.

Qualifications

• RN licensed to practice nursing
• ACLS certification within 30 days of employment start date
• BLS certification within 30 days of employment start date
• Minimum 1 year OR experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, effective OR nursing care during surgeries and invasive procedures
• Coordinate service line responsibilities with surgeons and OR team
• Maintain expert knowledge of procedures, equipment, and supplies used in the OR
• Establish collaborative relationships with specialty surgeons and OR staff
• Pursue continuing education related to specialty procedures, supplies, and equipment

Job Summary and Qualifications

Assists in providing safe and effective nursing care as the O.R. RN during surgical and other invasive procedures through the performance of specific duties under the direction of the Director/Manager.

Service Line Coordination Responsibilities (when applicable):

The expert practice of the Operating Room Service Line Coordinator is essential in ensuring safe patient outcomes,completion of the daily operating room schedule, and physician/ employee satisfaction.

Responsibilities of Specialty Coordinator include, but are not limited to, the following as related to the surgicalspecialty:

1. Maintains expert knowledge of service specialty (procedures, equipment, supplies, surgeon preference).

2. Establishes / Maintains direct, collaborative, working relationship with Specialty Surgeons.

3. Provides new hire orientation to service specialty.

4. Pursues continuing education regarding specialty procedures/supplies/equipment.

5. Provides continuing education regarding specialty procedures/supplies/equipment.

6. Maintains accurate preference cards.

7. Ensures specialty instrument sets are complete and maintained in good working condition.

8. Established collaborative relationships within Surgical Services (Supply Chain, OR Clinician, SPD) tomeet the demands of continuously evolving services, procedures, equipment use, and instrument car

What qualifications you will need:

• • Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • (RN) Registered Nurse
  • Minimum one (1) year O.R. experience preferred
