Longview Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the OR who will provide patient-centered nursing care before, during, and after surgical procedures. The RN will scrub in, assist the surgical team, monitor vital signs, administer medications, and ensure a sterile environment throughout operations.

Qualifications

• Proficient in applying the nursing process to plan, implement and evaluate care.
• Ability to perform thorough patient assessments and document findings.
• Strong communication and collaboration with faith-based and clinical teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver patient-centered care per nursing process and hospital policy.
• Document care and assessment findings accurately in the medical record.
• Administer medications, monitor for side effects and report changes to the care team.
• Assist physicians during procedures within competency scope and ensure patient safety.
• Provide patient and family education on care plans and discharge instructions.
• Maintain infection control practices and operate medical equipment as needed.
• Participate in audits and quality improvement initiatives to enhance outcomes.
