Ophthalmology Surgery Center of Illinois seeks a Registered Nurse to join our surgical team. You will care for patients before, during, and after procedures, educate families, and support recovery with compassionate care.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Registered Nurse position is responsible for treatment and care of our surgical patients. They record patient symptoms, administer medications and assist with patient rehabilitation. The registered nurse educates patients and family members about medical conditions and provides emotional support. RNs work within the context of the surgical team to provide care to individuals before, during and after a surgical procedure.

Starting hourly wage ranging from $34 -$40 based on previous experience
6.5 paid holidays per year

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment
Current certification in Basic Life Support / Pediatric Advance Life Support
Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support is required to be obtained within one (1) year of employment
Minimum of one (1) year of related work experience in a surgical/operating room environment is preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT (per ADA guidelines):
Physical Activity: Standing for sustained periods of time, Stooping, Grasping, Lifting, Talking, Hearing.The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform each activity.
Physical requirements: Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
