Job summary

Jefferson Health Northeast in Philadelphia, PA, seeks a registered nurse for the evening shifts (3pm-11pm). The role focuses on patient- and family-centered care, using the nursing process to address physical, psychological, emotional, and social needs within a diverse patient population.

You will collaborate with inter-professional teams, implement evidence-based practices, educate patients and families, and participate in safety and quality improvement initiatives while creating an inclusive

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred within 3 years.
• Current RN licensure in state of practice; BLS required per policy.

Responsibilities

• Interact with co-workers, patients, families, and staff per Jefferson Health values.
• Integrate evidence-based practice and clinical expertise into patient care.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and recovery steps.
• Minimize risk by following established nursing practices and protocols.
• Use information technology to communicate, manage knowledge, mitigate error, and support ethical decisions.
• Monitor care outcomes and use improvement methods to enhance quality and safety.
• Collaborate within inter-professional teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Recognize patient/family preferences and provide respectful, coordinated care.
• Create an environment of belonging and inclusion, with problem solving and conflict resolution.
• Commit to ongoing professional growth and act as preceptor to staff.
• Participate in hospital and practice setting safety and quality improvement committees.
• Be open to feedback and incorporate changes into practice.
