Oklahoma Center for Orthopaedic Multi-Specialty Surgery in Oklahoma City is seeking an OR RN Circulator to support perioperative care from preoperative through postoperative stages. You will collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical staff to ensure a safe and efficient patient experience.

The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, and dedicated to infection prevention, clinical excellence, and exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Oklahoma RN license is required.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required.
• Perioperative or OR experience is preferred.
• Strong critical-thinking and communication skills are essential.
• Commitment to infection prevention and patient safety is required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care throughout the surgical experience.
• Prepare and coordinate operating room activities for scheduled procedures.
• Review surgeon preference cards and verify equipment and supplies are available for each case.
• Verify patient identity, procedure, site, and consent before surgery.
• Assist anesthesia providers as needed.
• Monitor patient status and advocate for safety throughout the perioperative process.
• Provide age-appropriate care for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Maintain accurate documentation per hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in preparedness activities.
• Operate equipment safely and report safety concerns.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and continuity of care through effective communication.
• Follow hospital policies, infection prevention standards, and AORN guidelines.
• Foster positive relationships with patients, families, physicians, visitors, and team members.
