Job summary

AdventHealth in Castle Rock, CO is seeking PRN RN staff for day shifts. The role offers flexible contract assignments across AdventHealth facilities, with opportunities to convert to permanent staff and competitive premium pay rates. Travel stipends are not provided, but a direct AdventHealth path exists.

The position requires 2 years of acute hospital nursing experience, an RN license, BLS, and strong English communication. 36 hours per week, $98/hr pay described.

Qualifications

• 2 years of nursing experience in an acute hospital setting.
• RN license is required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS or PALS or TNCC preferred.
• Fluent in English (reading, speaking, writing).
• Basic computer skills and Windows navigation.

Responsibilities

• Provide education to patients and families from admission to discharge.
• Document education and initiate referrals to healthcare providers as needed.
• Deliver competent, compassionate nursing care and maintain a safe care environment.
• Administer medications accurately as ordered; respond to unit and hospital code situations.
• Assist physicians with bedside procedures.
• Manage patient admissions, transfers, and discharges professionally.
• Verify and sign off physician orders and obtain lab specimens as ordered.
• Evaluate the nursing care plan to ensure safe, competent care delivery.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Must be fluent in English (read, verbal and written skills) [Required]

Education:

• Associate [Required]

Work Experience:

• 2 years of nursing experience in an acute hospital setting. [Required]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) [Preferred] OR Pediatric Advanced Life Support Cert (PALS) [Preferred] OR Trauma Nurse Course Certified (TNCC) [Preferred]
