Job summary

Menorah Medical Center in Overland Park, KS, is seeking a PRN OR Radiology Technologist to operate radiologic equipment under supervision to produce diagnostic images for surgical and other procedures.

You will perform fluoroscopic and radiographic procedures, assist radiologists, participate in call rotations, and help uphold safety and quality standards with a patient‑centered approach.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited radiology program.
  • Current Kansas Board of Healing Arts license required.
  • ARRT certification and BLS current.
  • Experience in operating room radiology preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic images.
  • Perform fluoroscopic and radiographic procedures in surgery.
  • Assist radiologists and other technologists with exams.
  • Participate in call rotation and interdisciplinary coordination.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Underthe supervision of the Radiology Director, Medical Director and Radiology Manager, radiologic equipmentoperatesto produce radiographs of the body for diagnostic purposes, as directed by the Physician.

  • Fiftypercentof time for this position involves aspects of the performance of fluoroscopic and radiographic procedures in surgery.The other fifty percent oftimefor this position involves a wide variety of imaging procedures with inpatients/ ER, and outpatient services.
  • Assistswith implementation of policies and procedures to meet the various accrediting agencies’ regulations and laws.
  • Responsible forinterfacing with other departments, physicians and their office staff, patients, families, visitors, Radiologyschooland Radiology employees as needed.
  • Performsdutiesof radiologic technologist, including call rotation coverage.
  • Assistradiologists and other department technologists in performing exams and procedures as needed.
What qualifications you will need:
  • Graduate of an accredited program by the commission on accreditation of allied health education programs, American MedicalAssociation or other accrediting agencies
  • Current license with the Kansas Board of Healing Arts (either temporary or permanent)requiredupon hire.
  • Registry By American RegistryofRadiologic Technology (ARRT). Must Be CurrentinBasic Life Support / BCLS.
  • Knowledge Of Radiology Operations RelatedtoRadiographic Imagingof SurgicalProcedures Including sterile technique, radiation safety, CR/PACS, C-arm merge boxes.
  • Preferred1-yearRelated Work Experience as a Radiologic Technologist in the Operating Room.
  • StrongInterpersonalskillsto train,maintaincompetence, and confidence in radiologic technologists and students working in the operating rooms.
  • Ability to effectively communicatewithawide rangeof individuals including physicians.
