Qualifications

• ARRT-registered and in good standing.
• State license (TMB) required.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience with OR imaging using C-Arm; extensive spine and orthopedic experience is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Reviews physician orders for diagnostic x-ray procedures accurately.
• Verifies patient identification before procedures.
• Communicates with patients to gather medical history and pertinent information.
• Checks imaging equipment and room setup for proper operation.
• Explains procedures to patients to ensure cooperation and comfort.
• Maintains infection control and patient care during imaging.
• Follows protocols and policies for radiographic procedures.
• Demonstrates proper collimation, positioning, and radiation safety to minimize exposure.
• Adheres to MRI safety where applicable.
• Critiques images for quality to aid interpretation.
• Participates in Quality Control/QA programs.
• Prioritizes tasks and maintains good working relationships within the department.
• Willing to learn new procedures and assist elsewhere as needed.
• Standby call as required to support the department.
