Job summary

Cooper University Health Care in Camden, NJ is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to assist the clinical team and support indirect patient care in the operating room. The role involves room turnover, equipment gathering, and preparing the OR for the next case, among other duties.

The shift runs from 6:30 AM to 3 PM, with weekend, holiday, and rotation requirements. Candidates with acute care experience and NJ-BLS certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Current NJ-BLS Certification (Basic Life Support).
• Acute Care Hospital experience preferred (e.g.: Nursing Assistant, Unit Secretary, PCS).
• Visual and auditory acuity for information retrieval and computer monitor use

Responsibilities

• Room turnover and cleaning of OR areas.
• Gathering equipment and instrumentation for surgical cases.
• Change OR tables when necessary.
• Set up OR room for next case (beds, equipment, positioning).
• Take specimens to the lab.
• Take returns to CSP and put returns away that live in the OR upstairs.
