Job summary

Virtua in New Jersey is seeking a qualified RN with at least 1 year of OR scrubbing and circulating experience to join our surgical services team. The role focuses on assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care, ensuring evidence-based practices and high-quality outcomes.

You will coordinate care with the health team, communicate with patients and families, and uphold professional standards and safety. NJ RN license required; BLS required; hours 6:30 am to 3:00 pm.

Qualifications

• Must have NJ RN License and maintain it per state Licensing Board.
• Experience with OR scrubbing and circulating.
• Strong communication and team coordination.
• Ongoing education to stay current in nursing practice.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient assessments leading to development, implementation and evaluation of a plan of care.
• Administers, monitors and documents therapeutic interventions and regimes.
• Effectively manages rapidly changing situations.
• Participates in clinical decision-making.
• Educates patient and family on disease process, care needs, wellness and safety.
• Delegates and monitors care rendered by the nursing team.
• Demonstrates standard precautions and patient safety principles.
