Job summary

Michigan Medicine is in Ann Arbor and seeking a Registered Nurse to scrub and circulate in the University Hospital Operating Room. Responsibilities include rotating day/evening shifts with call and assisting in OR teaching under supervision.

Requirements include Michigan RN licensure and 2+ years of OR scrubbing/circulating experience in at least two surgical areas; BSN preferred. Benefits include comprehensive medical, dental and vision coverage.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Michigan.
• Two years recent RN circulating and scrubbing experience in at least two adult surgical services (orthopaedics, general surgery, urology, plastics, or ophthalmology).
• Ability to work with a non-responsive patient population.
• Call commitment with 30 minute response time.
• NOTE: All applicants selected to interview will complete a one day observation in the UH OR (unpaid).
• Must meet all required qualifications prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Scrub and circulate in operating rooms under the clinical supervision of a Charge Nurse, Clinical Supervisor or Clinical Nursing Director.
• Rotate shift and accept call as assigned by Clinical Manager/Clinical Nursing Director.
• Assist in the teaching activities of the Operating Room.
