Job summary

The Employee Connect seeks an experienced Nurse Manager to lead Operating Room nursing operations at a San Francisco hospital. You will provide decisive clinical leadership, build high‑performing teams, and uphold surgical excellence in a fast‑paced perioperative environment.

You will oversee staffing, scheduling, patient safety initiatives, and regulatory compliance while partnering with surgeons and anesthesia to optimize throughput.

Qualifications

• BSN required; MSN preferred.
• 3+ years perioperative/OR nursing experience.
• 2+ years nursing leadership/charge RN in OR.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 operational and clinical leadership for the OR department.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, and on‑call coverage for surgical services.
• Lead and develop OR nursing staff through hiring, performance management and growth programs.
• Oversee perioperative quality metrics, patient safety initiatives and regulatory compliance.
• Partner with surgeons, anesthesia, and surgical leaders to optimize OR throughput and outcomes.
• Manage departmental budget including labor, supply chain and capital equipment.
• Champion a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and staff engagement.
