100 LCMC Health in New Orleans is seeking a Surgical Nurse to join our operating room team. You will prepare patients for surgery, review histories, administer meds, position patients, monitor vital signs, and perform post-operative assessments.

You will collaborate with surgeons and anesthesiologists, maintain a safe environment, provide CPR if needed, document care, and educate patients and families about post-operative care.

Qualifications

• Current Louisiana nursing license to practice as defined by the LSBN.
• American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• Operating room experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Prepare patients for surgery, review history, and provide patient care and support.
• Administer medicines, position patients, monitor vital signs, and complete post-operative assessments.
• Collaborate with surgeons and anesthesiologists to ensure safe, efficient care; document care and educate patients.
