Athens Orthopedic Clinic in Athens, GA seeks an Operating Room Nurse to provide perioperative care in the ambulatory surgery center. The role emphasizes patient-centered care, teamwork, and adherence to facility policies.

You will coordinate with anesthesia and surgical teams, perform preop assessments, monitor patients, and support quality improvement activities while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited program; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of one year nursing experience preferred.
• Georgia RN license or eligibility required.
• Fluent in English with good reading and communication skills; basic computer literacy required.

Responsabilités

• Coordinates and supervises patient care.
• Gives care reflecting patient needs within ASC policies.
• Makes decisions based on science, patient condition and resources.
• Provides safe operation and handling of equipment.
• Organizes nursing activities with patient and staff needs in mind.
• Demonstrates initiative, teamwork and reliability.
• Knowledge of medications and IV fluids and administration by age and condition.
• Performs head-to-toe preoperative assessment and postoperative reassessment.
• Performs pain assessment and patient/family education.
• Provides explanations and reassurance to patients.
• Identifies symptoms and responds promptly.
• Familiar with cardiac monitoring and recognizing dysrhythmias.
• Maintains clear communication with administrators, co-workers and physicians.
• Demonstrates professional demeanor and adherence to policies.
