The OR Materials Supervisor is responsible for supervising the OR Supply Technicians and ensuring appropriate par and inventory management activities are maintained at all storage locations to support Perioperative Services. Coordinates and maintains a variety of non-clinical and ancillary services in support of nursing services to maintain the efficiency and quality of unit operations.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate and maintain supply and inventory management activities for Perioperative Services, including par management, inventory, patient supply requirements, clerical support, and related functions.
  2. Monitor inventories, create par levels, coordinate procurement and stocking, analyze usage patterns, and recommend optimal par levels.
  3. Manage an inventory valued over $1,000,000 across two campuses.
  4. Requisition supplies and equipment, ensure maintenance and repairs, track lost or damaged items.
  5. Supervise, orient, train, and evaluate supply technician staff.
  6. Ensure department operations run 24/7, on call 24/7.
  7. Work with OR Buyers to resolve invoice discrepancies and outstanding charges.
  8. Coordinate annual inventory and conduct monthly cycle counts.
  9. Serve as liaison to various support staff and leadership.
  10. Analyze operational data, prepare reports, and recommend improvements.
  11. Resolve operational problems and participate in strategic redesign.
