Job summary

Socket.dev seeks a capable SPD support professional to reprocess and manage surgical instrumentation in collaboration with SPD and OR teams. You will ensure timely reprocessing, equipment readiness, and adherence to IFU and hospital policies in a high‑stress surgical environment.

This role requires OR experience, strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, and strict adherence to HIPAA-like data handling and confidentiality. Travel may be required for coverage across accounts.

Qualifications

  • Experience in an operating room setting and knowledge of surgical anatomy is required or preferred.
  • Basic computer skills including MS Office and accurate data reporting are essential.
  • CRCST certification within 6 months of hire is required by policy.

Responsibilities

  • Decontaminate and assemble rigid scopes, cameras, light cords, and power instrumentation.
  • Perform in-line function testing (leak, sharpness, insulation, or power checks).
  • Wrap and containerize sets for sterilization per IFU.
  • Maintain and update Stryker instrumentation lists with SPD leadership.
  • Facilitate repairs, replacements, and instrument tracking per hospital protocols.
  • Communicate with SPD and OR leaders regarding equipment readiness and process improvements.
