Job summary

East Alabama Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Endoscopy nurse to provide safe, patient-centered care across the Endoscopy unit. You will administer medications, follow care pathways, and collaborate with the care team to improve outcomes.

The ideal candidate holds an RN license, has completed nursing education, and will obtain ACLS/PALS within 6 months and BLS within 90 days of hire. A Bachelor's in nursing and prior stepdown experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program.
• Current RN license.
• ACLS/PALS certification within 6 months of hire.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire or transfer.
• Preferred education: Bachelor's degree in nursing.
• Preferred experience: 1 year hospital stepdown experience.

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for the delivery of safe, effective, and quality patient/family centered care in the Endoscopy unit for all patient populations. Provides safe, therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic way. Incorporates differences into the provision of care. Integrates knowledge, skills, and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families throughout the continuum to include patient and family education. Utilizes standards, guidelines, protocols, or pathways for care delivery. Incorporates data and information to continuously improve care and practice to enhance outcomes. Administers Medications according to standard nursing practice. Ensures improvements in practice settings by assuming responsibility for self-development.
