Mayo Clinic in Mankato, MN recruits a Sterile Processing/OR Core Technician to support the perioperative team. You will prepare and deliver sterile supplies, instruments, and equipment for surgical procedures, under supervision of the Nurse Manager, helping to maintain case flow and patient safety.

Candidates should have a High School diploma or GED, with preferred two years in sterile processing or related roles, and strong communication as well as physical stamina to lift and move instruments.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Prefer two years of experience in handling and sterilization processing of surgical/medical/dental instrumentation.
• Alternatively, at least two years of experience as a Central Service Technician or Patient Care Assistant in an acute care setting within the last five years.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
• Able to adapt to unpredictable perioperative situations and communicate effectively.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and deliver medical/surgical supplies, instruments and equipment for procedures.
• Inspect packaging integrity and ensure flow of surgical cases.
• Collaborate with perioperative team to support patient care.
