Job summary

St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport seeks an RN Circulator to provide direct nursing care for operative procedures, supporting the surgical team and maintaining sterility. This role requires CT RN licensure, an associate degree, and at least 2 years of OR nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in Connecticut before hire.
• Current 2 years’ OR nursing experience (scrub helpful).
• BLS certification within 60 days of hire.
• Knowledge of aseptic/sterile techniques and patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ needs and provide individualized care.
• Review charts for completeness before/after surgery.
• Maintain safety standards and sterile environment.
• Communicate with patients, teammates and physicians to ensure continuity of care.
• Prepare operating room and equipment for surgery.
