Job summary

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice.
• BLS certification is required.
• Experience in the surgical/operating room setting is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care in OR support.
• Develops discharge plans and collaborates with the multidisciplinary team.
• Delivers direct patient care and coordinates activities of the care team.
• Evaluates patient response to care and revises plans as needed.
• Documents care activities clearly and timely in the patient record.
• Promotes evidence-based practice and supports staff development.
• Interacts with staff, patients and families to ensure safe, quality care.
